"When a person trains once, nothing happens. When a person forces himself to do a thing a hundred or a thousand times, then he certainly has developed in more ways than physical. Is it raining? That doesn't matter. Am I tired? That doesn't matter, either. Then willpower is no problem." "I already know how to run slow. I want to know how to run fast" - Emil Zatopek

BIG BAD FLU!

Today is the only day that I've manage to put in a measly 3.6km. My breathing was heavy and my legs and body felt soooo sluggish. This flu is hitting me harder than I expected. My voice is very nasal and I have totally lost sense of taste and smell.

I have a feeling that my world is falling apart. This no-running-routine is getting on my nerves. Although the run today was not much, it really feels good to sweat it out. The medication is not doing much and I need to get more rest. I don't know how long this is gonna last but I hope it ends soon. It's like having 2 years worth of flu hitting you all at once. The last time I saw a doctor was like 2 years ago and since I started my running, I've never had it this bad. It's a bitter truth but we runners are still human beings.

I will try and leave work early tomorrow and see if I can put in a bit more mileage. I need to get some rest now. ZZZZZZzzz.
